October Ride Review: Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
HI -HOOOOOOOO
Hi-Ho, Hi-Ho, its to the Mine Train I go......
Yes, cheesy, I know!!!!!
The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train! This ride took FOREVER to be built! But, it FINALLY opened!
No pass holder preview like they did for New Fantasyland, {bummer} but I did stalk a few blogs and found out when they were going to release Fast Passes!!! And, yep, grabbed them!
Now, if you have your heart set on seeing the queue, then skip the fast passes. The fast pass lane takes you straight into the loading lines. There is a PLUS for the stand by lines, there are MANY FANS in the line, like blow your hair around like your in a 80's rock video fans!
For our first ride, we were there at opening, and of course, they were having technical issues, but about 30 minutes later, we were first on for the day, and rode in the first car! FUN!
We have ridden the train now, I think 7 or 8 times....Our favorite spot to sit, is in the very last car. In the back, you pretty much have constant movement, and it feels WAY faster, especially at night, when the bests castle is lit up!
This is one of our favorites. I have heard people complain about the seats, yes, they are a bit snug in the leg area, but for 95% of the population, no worries. The height requirement on this one is 38 inches for the littles!
You can hit up youtube to see many POV rides on the mine train, I sit in the back with my hands in the air instead of taking a video, lol. Woo Hoo!
They are beta testing ride photos for the mine train now, as well! Hopefully they get it fully operational soon.
Check it out next time you are in Magic Kingdom! Fast passes are still hard to come by, late night extra magic hours are awesome!

That crazy little guy has raised his badness level, again! He seems to have run off with the post for today!!!

Food Review: Pumpkin Spice Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich
WDW is a food mecca! The foodie in me can go WILD at the parks and resorts! I thought it would be great to spotlight some of the yumminess there is to try when you are there!
It's fall, and it the "Everything Pumpkin" season! I saw tons of people posting on social media about this Pumpkin Spice Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich, and of course I had to go try it!
Let me say that again, PUMPKIN-SPICE-MACARON-ICE-CREAM-SANDWICH!!!
This was priority on my list when we went to the Food & Wine Festival at Epcot! Once we made our way into France, we stopped at L'Artisan des Glaces!

Yes, this is seasonal, they always have the chocolate, but PUMPKIN it is for me!
This is a MUST if you love the macarons in France, and you love pumpkin!!! Everything in the ice cream shop is delicious! You can even get an ice cream martini there!! YEP!
This was the BEST ice cream sandwich that I have ever had! I seriously could of eaten 3 or 4...but I did not! I was good! LOL I do have one on my list after the 5K in November!!!! YES!!

2014 Happy Haunted 5K
For those of you that know me, I am NOT a "runner"!! {Yep, bold, italic, underline...should be highlighted too....} I found EVERY excuse not to run in high school, and any sport, pretty much for my entire life!!
Now, I do love my extreme home workouts {T25, TurboFire, Combat, etc}....they are challenging, fun, kick my butt...AND..no one can see me!!!
SO....I get a grand idea, since I LOVE DISNEY so much, lets RUN a Disney race.....5K...sure, no problem!
I chose to start with the "Happy Haunted 5K", fall race, "cooler" Florida weather (if that actually exists), and I heard that the Headless Horseman makes an appearance!!! AWESOME! Click, register, All set!
And so I finally get to see the Headless Horseman! Awesome and creepy all at the same time! He rode up to the start of the race, reared up, then made his way "into the woods"....where we would be running!
I was in the second corral, so we were 5 minutes behind the super fast awesome runners, lol. We started out in a big mob, then and people started pacing themselves, everyone had enough room.
I will say that I did WAY better than I thought I was going to do! - I envisioned myself being swept up, cause I AM NOT A RUNNER!
There was a huge variety of people there, the super runner just warming up for the bigger event, all the way down to the seniors who walked the course!
It was fun to see what characters they had out on the trail. Of course, I stopped at each one, it's part of the appeal of the race!! :)
I was a very "under-dressed" Stitch. I decided not to run with my Stitch paws and try to deal running with them and fumbling for my camera at the stops.
Each character stop took between 5-8 minutes, depending on how many people were in line. So, that of course ads to your time, as well as stopping to take photos at each mile marker!
I had fun! {yep, even though I was running!} I highly recommend it, esp if you are a Disney Freak, as I am!
Looking forward to my next Disney race in November! his time we will be running through Animal Kingdom Park! I am hoping to cut down my time, even just a little bit, and of course, I will post about that as well!

Run Disney - NO Tower of Terror Weekend in 2015 - WHAT???
Thats right! ~ Run Disney posted the 2015-2016 schedule on social media, and Tower of Terror Weekend is NOT on the list for 2015!!
WHAT!?!?
And ToT runners are NOT happy!!!
No official announcement as to WHY, only speculation that it is due to the possible 2015 construction in Disneys Hollywood Studios. The rumors include:
-Toy Story Expansion into Stage 1
-Pixar Expansion {pleeeeze Cars Land!}
-Star Wars Expansion
I ran my first "Happy Haunted 5K" this past weekend during the Tower of Terror weekend, and it was AWESOME! {Separate post on that coming up!} And was planning on doing the ToT 10K in 2015...well, THAT will NOT be happening!
